Disappointing handling of the missing 64GB microSD card
I am leaving the lowest rating because of the way Hiwonder handled my claim regarding the missing 64GB microSD card. When I purchased my MentorPi T1 Advanced, the information available to me clearly distinguished the Raspberry Pi as an optional component, while the 64GB microSD card appeared separately in the official packing information without the same “optional” indication. Based on that information, I reasonably understood that the microSD card was included with the kit. When the robot arrived without the card, I contacted Hiwonder in good faith, expecting that the company would review the documentation available at the time of purchase and offer a reasonable solution. After I raised the issue, I noticed that the current product information had been changed to indicate that the microSD card is also optional. However, other official Hiwonder documentation that I had previously consulted still supported my original understanding, and I provided screenshots of that documentation to the company. Hiwonder nevertheless maintained that I had selected the wrong configuration and that the package was complete. At the same time, their own response acknowledged that the wording in their online course materials could have caused a misunderstanding and stated that this documentation would be updated. My disappointment is therefore not simply about the value of a 64GB microSD card. The issue is the customer experience: I made the purchase based on the information that was presented to me, documented that information when I made the claim, and expected some goodwill from Hiwonder once the ambiguity became evident. I was not asking for anything unreasonable — simply the missing card or an equivalent solution. Unfortunately, no such goodwill solution was offered. For that reason, and specifically because of how this microSD card claim was handled, I am leaving a Very Poor rating.
