can this controller work with the hiwonder hx-12h servo?
Hi there! Yes. The Hiwonder UNO Expansion Board Model A and Model B can work with the HX-12H serial bus servo, as they both include 2-channel serial bus servo ports specifically for Hiwonder serial bus servos. Model C, however, only supports PWM servos and does not include serial bus servo ports.
For the HX-12H, here are a few things to note:
✅ Communication: The HX-12H uses Hiwonder's TTL serial bus protocol, which is supported by the serial bus ports on the UNO Expansion Board.
✅ Power: The expansion board accepts 6–12.6 V input, which is suitable for powering the board and HX-12H servos. Use a power supply capable of delivering sufficient current if you're driving multiple servos.
✅ Programming: You can control the servos from an Arduino UNO through the expansion board using Hiwonder's serial bus servo library/protocol.
If you're planning to use multiple HX-12H servos, I recommend Model B because it has an onboard 32-bit MCU that provides closed-loop control and current protection, making it more robust for robotic arm or legged robot applications.
