During the visit, Mike Buffham toured Hiwonder’s facilities and learned more about our robotics products and R&D capabilities. The visit also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange ideas on the development of Raspberry Pi-based robotics, AI education, and embodied AI applications.

Raspberry Pi Chief Commercial Officer Mike Buffham watches Hiwonder’s Raspberry Pi–powered humanoid robot AiNex complete Autonomous Hurdling. We are demonstrating to Mike Buffham how AiNex is used in schools, universities, and student labs. It lets students practice the full embodied-AI loop: perceive the environment, plan a motion, and execute it on a walking robot. Autonomous hurdling is one of those lessons. Students can test vision, balance, and inverse kinematics as AiNex approaches a barrier and crosses it by itself. The same platform also supports line following, stair climbing, tracking, and other projects that take AI education from theory to a robot that moves.
