The robot kit comes partially assembled, but it’s really easy to set up thanks to the detailed tutorials provided. It’s a fantastic demonstration kit, and I’ve placed it in my office where it’s definitely caught a lot of people’s attention—haha!
I’m surprised to find that this robot kit supports both Scratch and Python programming languages. As a beginner, I’m using Scratch because it’s very straightforward—just drag and drop code blocks. For more experienced programmers, Python is also an option. Overall, it’s a fantastic educational kit!
This robotic arm kit is excellent for learning both robotics and programming. The quality of the parts is impressive, and the CoreX controller, developed by Hiwonder, adds a lot of value. The mechanical design of the arm stands out, especially for its price range. It uses serial bus servos that handle a significant load with ease. It's a fantastic kit for demonstrating waste sorting and teaches how to control the robotic arm for this purpose. Overall, it's a highly educational and well-made kit that I’d recommend to anyone interested in robotics.
As a high school technology teacher, I believe this would make an excellent gift for a middle school student interested in technology. My kids and I had a lot of fun assembling it and running the example code. It really sparked their engineering creativity—they’re excited to try new things with it.
The tutorials are well-crafted and easy to follow, and you can download them from Google Drive. They offer plenty of hints for creating new games, which is a great way to keep them engaged and learning.
I'm the kind of person who enjoys STEM projects and while this was a bit more on the technical side it was very enjoyable!
The kit comes packaged in a sturdy box with all of the parts. The instructions are downloaded off of Google Drive with supplemental code that assists with the project. I spent a weekend working with this and was very pleased with the process and results, and now I have a neat robotic arm to show off to guests if they enter my office!
